About one third of all New York residents live in Brooklyn and while that may seem like a lot of people, Brooklyn handles it extremely well. There are dozens of distinct neighborhoods that make up the Brooklyn real estate market. And each of these neighborhoods has its own history, style and sometimes its own ethnic characteristic. Brownstones, Limestones and Pre War buildings are generally found in areas like Bedford Stuyvesant, Fort Greene, Clinton Hills, Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Lefferts Garden. In other parts of Brooklyn such as East Flatbush, Flatlands, Midwood, Marine Park, Canarsie, Ditmas Park, Mill Basin are where the other style such as Colonial, Victorian are found.
